Calamity Jane's Story
Sheriff Bullock is rewriting history, determined to erase the real story of Calamity Jane. Before she was run out of Deadwood, Jane hid pieces of her truth inside the Sheriff’s office—notes, memories, and clues meant for those sharp enough to find them.
Somewhere beyond this room is a final letter she never meant the Sheriff to see, written for a young girl she loved like family. That letter holds the truth he wants destroyed.
Follow Jane’s trail through the saloon, uncover what she left behind, and find the letter before the Sheriff returns and burns her story forever.

Groups
If you are in Deadwood with a group, it’s a must to check out the all new escape rooms. We are located in downtown Deadwood, in the heart of all the action. Your group will work together to get out of the room. If you only have a few people – you can either join others in a room and make new friends, or feel free to book out the entire room just for you.
Team Building
Escape rooms are great for team building. Employees, board of directors, volunteers, sports teams, students, and more. Schedule a time for your whole group to work together and problem solve to get out of the room. Your team will work in a fast pace environment and can help promote working together in and outside of the escape room.
Wedding Parties
Want a unique experience for your pre-nuptial celebration? Our escape room is an ideal place to get your night started in Deadwood. Book out a room, or separate into 2 teams and book both rooms and see who can get out first. After you finish, you can enjoy dinner at Mavericks, drinks at Gold Dust Casino, and a great night’s sleep in the Hotel by Gold Dust.
Frequently Asked Questions
We ask that you be 10 minutes early to your appointment. This will give you and your group time to sign the waivers, get to the room, listen to the rules and get settled before the game starts.
If you would like to plan a special event, please call 605.559.1400 and we will help figure out all the details for your exciting and fun gathering!
Each escape room is available from 11 am to 7 pm Thursday – Sunday. Rooms are book for one hour at a time, with a 1/2 hour scheduled in between each appointment.
We will try our best to accommodate walk-in guests. Rooms are booked out by the hour, with 1/2 hour scheduled in between. Walk-ins will be put into the next available opening or we will schedule a time for you to come back to play the escape room.
